Isn't it frustrating when you want to enter a website such as YouTube, Facebook, myspace, etc and you get a warning sign or a notice saying that the websites are blocked by your school or college?Things like these really make me get on my nerve. So, what's your first guess to unblock these websites?
Btunnel.com ---> Exactly! Btunnel easily unblocks your website because if you notice in the btunnel URL, it starts with https instead of http like most websites do. Websites starting with https are much harder to block because it contains a secure shell. However, if you use or if you've used Btunnel before, you will notice that Btunnel does not support some Javascript, meaning if you enter sites which contains video like AmericanIdol.com, Btunnel will not be able to play the videos in that website. Isn't this again frustrating?
Worry not, people! Because there is always a better solution. Ultrasurf helps you with this problem. From my experience, I've moved from Btunnel to Ultrasurf and this helps a lot. It's like you can get access to any website at all (I haven't tried it with porn websites though - that's bad for you anyway!). It's just so cool!
However, you cannot directly go to http://www.ultrareach.net because most probably your school will block that too. So, here's what I did. Use Btunnel and then type http://www.ultrareach.net in Btunnel's address bar. You'll get into Ultrasurf's website, download it (less than 5 depending on your download speed), install (less than 5 minutes), start using and voila! You are back on the internet without any warning notices! For Firefox users, don't forget to download the add-on as well!

In our school we just used https rather than http to unblock FB but in the company than I worked as an OJT trainee I prefer using proxy site or a proxy application because of much strong security.
BTunnel is one of my favorite sites to use when trying to access blocked websites at school. There are times it doesn't work and I need to use other proxys. Here's a great site that I use for similar sites: http://www.similarsites.com/sites/btunnel.com
